I'm cross-posting in Blended Family but it is kind of both: a teenage issue and blended family kind of issue...
To sum up:
DSD likes emo stuff (discussed here, and I read up on wikipedia to be up to date).
DP talked with DSD about what it means to her (she basically likes the music and clothes).
DSD does not wear vulgar t-shirts, rude and degrading sayings.
DSD wanted a new haircut: she called her mom to ask if it's to get a short choppy haircut, she didn't like the idea, but said "FINE".
Now... today we dropped DSD early because they had family function to attend, and ended up receiving a phone call from her mom who even used "F" word
, along with many other colorful words... Over a "haircut"... she thinks we are ruining her daughter...
I still don't know what to make of it.. If she said yes, what's the issue? and is a haircut worth having your daughter moving out of your house?
