Diaper Stash Input

I have been reading people's posts about building their diaper stash and wondering what on earth all the fuss was... and suddenly I was overcome with DIAPER FEVER! MUST AMASS DIAPERING SUPPLIES!!!

So here's what I have:
36 newborn prefolds
6 Kushies All-In-One NB (4-10 lb)
4 Proraps NB (6-10 lb)
4 Bummis Super Whisper Wraps, S (9-15 lb)
5 Kushies All-In-One INF (10-22 lb)
9 Kushies covers INF (10-22 lb)

How will that work for the first couple months? I'm wondering if I need more newborn size covers... Dylan was at 9 pounds by 6 weeks.

I'm excited about cloth diapering. We started on it with Dylan, but he got really, really rashy and we wound up going to disposables. We're committed to do it with this one.

I always recommend fleece liners to create a stay-dry layer for baby. DS had rashes when we first started CD'ing and that did the trick. They are pretty inexpensive. I could even mail you a couple (I have extra I bought from jamtots) if you want.

You'll be surprised at how quickly the baby will outgrow the newborn stuff (prefolds included). I'd buy some infant prefolds now. You have plenty of small size covers, but I don't think you have enough newborn covers. I actually have more than enough newborn covers. I could probably send you a few.

I agree with Alisha about more small sizes. You can always double up the NB PFs to get more absorbent layers but the length might not give you enough rise...

I think you need maybe 3 or so more newborn covers.....and you are good....I would start planning for your small stash fairly soon too-it comes quickly.

Kathteach: I will gratefully take you up on your offer of a few fleece liners! I'll PM you.

scheelimama: I will gratefully take you up on your offer of a few newborn covers also! And I will PM you.

I actually have 9 regular sized diapers, 4 size small whisper wraps, and something like 9 kushies wraps (10-22 lb) and 5 kushies AIO (10-22 lb). So I need to get some prefolds, but I think I am okay on the wraps once the kiddo gets past 10 pounds.

I crossposted to the diapering thread and it was suggested that I get some pins and/or snappis and some wool soakers. How many wool soakers would any of you mamas suggest?

I am so behind with the diaper stash. I have 1 small Fuzzi-Bunz, 1 size 0 Kissaluvs fitted, 2 size 0 Kissaluvs contour, and 4 prefolds. 1 NB and 1 small proraps covers. Oh, and 1 snappi! I hope to build it slowly until my due date, but I'm discouraged when I hear about y'all with your big stashes!
