DH nesting?

My DH is nesting. He vacummed, did a couple loads of dishes, raked the leaves from the fall (yes from several months ago), he even vacummed the basement stairs! Maybe it's a sign...

He just now raked the leaves? I thought my dh was bad about procrastinating!

Mine has been doing stuff as well. He's been fixing everything and taking care of all the little "honeydo's" that I've requested. It's definitely pretty cool.

We're planning on having our kitchen remodeled. The only thing we're doing ourselves is removing the wallpaper and painting. He picks last weekend to start. At first I felt irritated, but then I realized it's probably his "nesting". Yesterday he mowed the grass (running to beat the rain), spent 5 hours in the kitchen, mopped the floor.... I like it

funny... my dh REALLY helped with cleaning the house yesterday. Usually he kindof plays with the kids while I do it, or goes grocery shopping. BUT without me even asking he did the vacuuming, cleaned the bathroom and picked up. We had the whole place done by 10 a.m.

I wish it was like that every week.

Oh, I wish I was that lucky. We just had a discussion this morning about how the house is a disaster and I don't have the energy to do it myself. He said that he'll clean up the dining room table and coffee table today, but he won't be home this evening when I arrive, so I'll see how much is left undone for me to do.

My hubby is doing this too: the other day he cleaned the bathroom top to bottom, threw out bags of trash and other junk, did dishes, cooked. He gets these bursts. He's also been advocating for a massive decluttering and he recently decided that we just can't raise this baby in this apartment and that we absolutely must move by Oct/Nov (because he'll be starting a new job & opening his own business after that, plus we can't "spend another winter here" with defective heating etc). It's sort of exciting and sort of annoying that he's so gung-ho all of a sudden. I just can't match his energy and enthusiasm at the moment. Hopefully it'll kick in once babe is here... I've done my nesting: set up the changing area and cleaned all the baby clothes, dipes and blankets and put them in drawers. I'm done!

mine did this when i was pregnant with dd 3 years ago...

kinda hoping he does it this time...means more boxes will get unpacked..

i got a zero nesting instinct with the first and am not seeing it now...

just soooooooo tired and uncomfy it's all i can do to get up and go to the bathroom....

My husband did some of this on his last days off, it was great. I woke up one morning to find him on top of a ladder dusting all the high up knick knacks, there are a lot of them and I don't get up there when I am pregnant. He also changed all the smoke alarm batteries and a/c filter. He did the windows and screens.

He finally built a gate for our fence. The lumber has been sitting there since Christmas when the fence was built. Now we have a gate but the kids leave it open all the time.

He is getting the septic system pumped this week after me asking for three years.

There are some dead trees in the yard and I am really hoping he is going to do those this week.

It is hard for him though because I have him picking up my slack around here and taking the kids for appointments too.

My dh vacuumed and moped the entire house (not super big) both last weekend and this weekend. I can't remember the last time he did that without being coerced. He's been a cleaning machine. I love it. I've never seen him like this!

I wish I could get Travis into helping more, though he did vacuum before cathy got here. that was bonus. LOL

Mine cleaned our car out thoroughly, installed the carseat and helped me organize the bedroom a bit. That was 2 days ago ... no baby yet though!
