Influencing without saying a word

I was in Burger King today, on an Army base, and was NIP and eating my fries. A gal was sitting diagonal from me with a babe in arms, looked about 6 weeks, and a toddler. After I finished my meal I noticed she was NIP the infant. I went over as I left and said I was so glad to see her NIP, usually I was the only one. She said she saw me doing it and decided it was ok, even with a bunch of Army guys around! : I said this country needs to become more accepting of this and she said "Yup, baby's gotta eat!"

That's awesome, mama! The same thing happened to me at church two weeks ago - I was super surprised because I've never even seen another mama NIP in our town.

Nice job.

The few military guys I've met over the years, thinking of one in particular back when DD was a baby, had a clue as to babies needing to be fed and had no problem with it.

Someone else on this board once said that all military hospitals are now 100% breastfeeding. This bodes well for bf in general as the military often has social influences beyond itself. Integration, for example, began in the military.
