Questions about carseat recalls

When looking to see if a carseat has been recalled, I am looking on this website. I see that the carseat model Im looking at was recalled, but not the production year. Is this seat safe? (ftr, dc is not using this carseat until we figure out if its safe or not.)

Yes, if only cretain years were recalled and yours is not from one of those years then you are OK.
