Going to the chiro today!

I am SO excited. I haven't had an adjustment since shortly after Landon was born because we lost our health insurance and then moved back home (cross country). It finally occured to me to check with our insurance (that I've now had for about a year) to see if they cover it and they do. I carry all of my stress in my back, and preg makes it even more uncomfortable so I am way over due. I'm telling you, I am seriously achy in anticipation nuts, I know...

That's great! Does your chiro work on a lot of pg women? It can really make a big difference to have someone adjust you who's had experience with pregnancy...

Yeah for pain relief!!

Cool! I hope you get some relief!

Our insurance doesn't cover chiro, but we have a great one who gives us a family rate. We're going every 2 weeks.

YAY!!!

There's a deal being offered this month with a chiro (husband and wife team) that happens to use the same Midwives I do. The $210 initial exam is only $27 and $10 for each family member after that. I need to get my middle son in for his back and I want to go too, but she's so small, I just wonder how she would be able to crack me around like they used to when I went for my neck last time .

The chiro has books all over her office about natural birth, healthy eating and non-vax, so I'd love to pick her brain. She is certified in prenatal and infant as well.

very cool!

don't worry about a petite chiro.. it's more technique and leverage than big brute strngth and weight.. I top out around 120 (I am tall tho.. 5'8 1/2) and work on really BIG guys over 300 lbs, big burly, tall (6' 7") etc.. I have no probs.. although a lot of them look sideways at me when they 1st meet me! so no worries, she can handle it!

have a great visit/s

Sooooo jealous!!! I have no excuse for not going. The place i'd like to go basically isn't covered by any insurance... but then DH said if I want to go, we can put it in the budget.

I actually hate to be cracked, I like the actuator?Activator? whatever the little clicker is called. No muscle required for that, just good knowledge of where to use it.

It tripped me out getting adjusted while pregnant. The Dr. said to call her after baby was born and she'd come tot he hospital to work on me. I really wish I would have but we were pretty broke at the time : Happier times now though!

It was great! He spent over an hr and 1/2 with me and I have another visit on Thursday. He wants to see me twice a week for the next 2 weeks but thinks that we can cut down drasitcally after that.

He did mention that he wants to look in to a possible dx of fibromyalgia further though because of my history with adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism and issues with musle spasms, bad reaction to stress, etc. He gave me a pretty big pamphlet about it and was quick to say that chiro won't cure it, that if I DO have it, it will mainly be up to me with diet and exercise (and suppliments) and that he can help keep me comfy. So while I don't know what to think, a lot of it makes a LOT of sense and he wasn't trying to sell me anything, which makes me think he was being completely honest.

But I like him a lot, and he is literally across the street from my office so I'll be able to go and get back really easily during the day! Plus, my boss recommended him, so she is more than cool with me going and getting it done during work hours!

That's a good chrio to be so aware of the holistic effects of different and complimentary treatments!
