Just wondering what everyone thought of this article about doulas on CNN.
Doulas deliver help for birthing moms.
Personally, I think its good that this is on the main page of CNN.com, to bring attention to the fact that there are doulas in the US.
However, I really was ticked off about how they had to point out that doulas may cross the line and offer medical opinions without any medical training. Grr, had to say negative things. Again, makes them sound like a threat to the medical community. Plus, if the person had done their research, they could have mentioned that there are monitrices who actually ARE medically trained.
