My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
We use them on travel days and camping trips. Love them. The covers don't last through big poops, though (comes over the sides of the inserts, but not actually out of the covers)...so you definitely need extra covers and plastic liners if you're going to use them regularly.
The diapering board had a big discussion on it. It seems that the consensus is that some septic systems can't handle it... I think we may try them at the beginning (we were going to do disposables) because just tossing the liners can't be as bad as tossing a whole diaper and our septic could not handle flushing the liners...
Yeah...they are definitely not as cheap as cloth. That's why we only use them for travel. We buy the inserts in bulk, thru our co-op. I feel like a cool, green mama when I use them, though!
I have used G Diapers. The flushable liners are kind of a pain in the rear. I can't imagine using those full time. I did use infant prefolds in the large size G covers with the plastic liner snapped in. It was awesome. Pretty trim, super cute, and no leaks at all!
Kristi, I am assuming you have the same types of low flow toilets we have up North (I guess it's a Cali thing) and I am not sure the toilet can handle the diaps.
I've also heard they're complicated, etc.. But perhaps worth a try???
I was wondering this too because we are planning on cloth diapering but we are going to Florida in the early spring to visit the inlaws (yuck, why can't I ever have a vacation that doesn't involve visiting relatives?). I though they might be cool for the week or so we will be there. I'll have to stay posted.
