Jackson (Jake) Scott

Born today: August 6, 2007, 5:21 pm (42w1day)

Weight 8 lbs, length 19 3/4 inches.

Successful home waterbirth: 40 hours to get from 2cm to 10 cm (!!!) - and then 10 min of pushing. Scott was an AMAZING birth partner. I'm so proud of him. :-)

Good nurser right from the first minutes.

Birth story and more pix later.

PS: He coos when he cries - it's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.

A few first photos on my blog!

I've had exactly 2 hours sleep since Sunday morning at 1:30 am, and of course I'm still all wired from the birth (amazing how that happens). Baby is snoozing though so I'm going to try and do the same!

oh bee!
i literally just came to the computer to post a note to you about your incredible patience! i was thinking about when we were all first pregnant and you posted the beautiful waterbirth picture of your daughter and how that image gave me strength through this pregnancy and how supportive you've been, and wise, to all of us, and about the book not getting there on your due date and the general story of your pregnancy and your waiting and i was starting to wish for an end for you and now he's here! and soooooooooo cute. i can't believe you did that mama - you really are amazing. that sounds like a doozy.
i think i'm in some heavy duty six week post partum hormonal shift gooey phase so i'd better stop typing.
much love to you and welcome tiny new one. welcome.
