I need to order anne fry'e understanding diagnostic tests book for my midwifery course. everywhere i look says ed 6 is out of print but they don't have ed 7 yet. i found ed 6 used but would really rather wait for ed 7 bc i read there's a lot of additions/revisions in that ed. does anyone know when it will be released?

2nd question....i've read that aviva jill romm is coming out with a botanical textbook for women's health and one for kid's health too! does anyone know when those will be available? thanks

Anne Frye Understanding Diagnostic Tests in the Childbearing Year

Quote:
As most of you know, the above book, which has been on the required
reading lists for both ALACE training programs, is currently
unavailable; a new, updated edition will be available in the future.
In the meantime, you are welcome to try to find it new or used
wherever you can, or borrow it if you can, but it is not required for
the time being.

Regarding when it will be available again, I spoke to Anne Frye
a couple of months ago. She is working on updating the book for a
new edition, but she is also dealing with some family health issues
and is not sure when the book will be complete. As soon as we know,
we'll let you all know when it is available again. Until then the book
is not required for either training program. Thanks!

Anne Frye is notoriously late with new books. It only took like ten years for Holistic Midwifery Vol II.

I wouldn't really hold out waiting for ed 7 of Diagnostic Tests. I would get ed 6 and then upgrade when it finally does come out.

I'm excited about Aviva's book - she's been attending medical school and I'm so fascinated about her outlook on things!
