More Gwen Love...

Apart from the fact that I saw her live last Friday night (& I'm practically still giddy over it like a schoolgirl), I'm so awed to hear that she's still boobing her 14mo.

I read an interview just the other day where the interviewer made mention that she was making a bottle for her child during the interview, so i figured she wasn't feeding him anymore. I wasn't annoyed or anything, she still fed for way longer than most (& I'm ashamed to say..longer than i thought she would...sorry Gwen, I love you!!!). Hehe..

I love Gwen. Love her music, love her style, love that she still feeds her son, and she's so normal about it.

In other news, I'd like to hunt her down while she's in Oz, and talk to her about possibly less painful ways to wear slings (especially with a toddler in it). She still wears them on her neck. She's so cool as hell. Giddy giddy giddy...

She is so awesome! She is my hero!! I love No Doubt and Gwen and have since I was 12 years old. I'm so happy to see her have such a positive attitude towards nursing! Kingston is such a cutie. On tour she has a nanny who brings him to her before and after the show. She has wanted to be a mom for so long, it is good to see her doing so many great things for her boy!!:

well, another MDCer who I post with on another site as well posted this link, apparently Gwen has weaned and the People quote is an old one:

BUT, I still say wtg to her for nursing as long as she did and being open about it!

Yes, that is an old quote that they are just coming out with now. She finished up nursing last month (that's my post linked above).

Today, I heard them talking about her on a radio show (they had the misinformation that she was still bf'ing at 15 months) and they were talking about her as if it was TOTALLY bizarre! "and he even has teeth!" I know that bfing well beyond a year can royally freak ppl out, but 15 months??? Is that really that weird now???

You, I and the rest of MDC, don't think nursing at 15 months is old, but that's not what the rest of the US thinks. Considering that only 11% of babies are still EBFing at 6 months, many people have never seen or heard of nursing toddlers.
