Is this trip stupid?

We are planning a 3 day trip to Tampa Sept 29,30 and Oct 1. I am due Nov 12. Now I know it is safe to travel until last 4 weeks and so on. But am I going to be just miserable?

Anyone else traveled that late?

How are you traveling and what are you doing once you get to Tampa?

As long as there will be lots of opportunities to sit in the A/C and you can count on a reasonably modest pace, it should be a nice break.

At that point you'll be 7.5 months or so, no? At that point in my last pregnancy, we MOVED from one house to another, without the assistance of a moving company. It was insane and miserable, but I survived. While I would never recommend moving at 7.5 months, a trip to Tampa sounds perfectly rational.

Tampa will still be hot and humid, but not as bad as if you were going in July. TONS of water, TONS of rest, etc... You should be fine! I know me, and I probably couldn't hack it, but that's because I never feel good ever in pregnancy and am overly heat and activity sensitive.

I think you should take the opportunity to do stuff like travel. Once the baby comes it will be so hard. Have fun, and drink lots o' water!!! Enjoy your trip.

I agree with all the others- ENjoy the trip! Hang out in a pool or in the A/C, drink lots of water and you'll be fine! It will be nice to get out of the house and relax a little at that point in your pg.

Definitely go!!! I may be one of the lucky ones that have easy pregnancies...but I'd go in an instant if I could. Just take it easy since Tampa will be hot and make sure to drink lots of fluids. Likely stuff you'd do anyway!

If you're healthy and comfortable you should go. It's after that point I'd say stick around home!!! It seems there's comfortable and then the last four weeks.

I drove to CA and back in the same day... 9 days before Titus was born!!! (and 3.5 weeks before my due date) It wasn't bad since I got the whole back seat. The only uncomfortable thing was that once we got to our destination (a huge huge family birthday party for Uncle Vaughn who was turning 80) I just wanted to sit down the whole time which put me out of the main core of socialization which was all stanind gup and roving about. It was worth the trip though.

It's all about how YOU feel, Mama. I'm sure you'll have a good time.

P.S. Stop saying "stupid!":

Oh...wait...you're not my 6 year old daughter who keeps saying that over and over again...and if she says it one more time I'm going to scream!!!
