Can you explain the best homeopathic after birth meds.

I hope this is the right place to post..

I was looking thru my medicine cabinet and I still have some homeopathic "pellets" that my sister gave me for the after care of my first c/s..

Unfortunately she isn't here to tell me what to take, and frankly I have no idea..

I have in my possession the following:

Arnica 30c (says for trauma, bruises, muscle soreness)
Hypericum Perforatum 30c (says for nerve pain)

So they are self explanatory and have not expired..

Hypothetically they speak for them selves, but god forbid I have a repeat c/s with this guy, is it safe to take these on-top of a narcotic pain reliever?

****Do you recommend a better option?

Arnica is supposed to be safe to take with other medicines. I don't know about the other one unfortunately. Sorry.

Like a PP said, you can take the homeopathics alongside conventional meds.

Take the Arnica first as it helps with shock as well as soreness, bruising & swelling.
The Hypericum is particularly helpful for tailbone injuries associated with birth.

Other remedies you might like to have on hand post-partum are...
  • Sabina - deep uterine trauma from rough cesarean
  • Carbo veg - fainting from blood loss
  • Staphysagria - pain at incision site
  • Phosphorus - hemorrhaging of arterial (bright red) blood
  • Lachesis - hemorrhaging of venous (bluish/purple) blood
Can you tell my major PP issue is blood loss?

Some homeopaths, and MWs who use homeopathy in their practices, offer a service of renting a well stocked remedy kit designed around the common needs of laboring, birthing and post-partum mothers. Many charge a flat fee for using the kit the month surrounding the due date, then a minimal fee for remedies opened. It's much cheaper than assembling your own kit with "just in case" remedies.
