We all must be enjoying our babies!!

How is everyone doing?

My baby will be 7 weeks on Friday! She came a little more than 5 weeks early. She was able to come home within the first 24 hours. I love her to death! We call her punky punk (somehow we got that from pumpkin)! She is feeding like a pro and almost sleeping through the night. She is already "loved" not spoiled! Hope everyone else is doing well!! Hope to hear from everyone soon!

Sage and I are still getting to know one another. She is just the sweetest.. I'm so in love already. I'm mourning my pregnancy just a bit... eventhough I was so totally done with it just days ago. I just keep thinking how this is the very last time and I get all emotional. Anyway.. enough of my sniffling .

I think I'm done mourning my pregnancy, but it's because I'm pretty sure I don't want ds to be my last baby DD seems to finally be getting used to the idea that he's not leaving, so things are getting a bit smoother

Hi ladies! I've been wondering where to post, if we should do it here or over in Life with a Babe. It's such a transitional time!

We are doing great! James ("Cricket" or "Jamie") is just an awesome little guy. I've found that he really sleeps best when he's on his tummy though. He's has such a low risk factor for SIDS (breastfed, nobody smokes, we co-sleep, etc) that I'm thinking I just need to follow his lead on this? Tell me I'm not a bad mommy!

Nic: ((HUGS)) Isn't it funny how we forget all the miseries of pregnancy so quickly? I kwym though. When I was in labor this time (like right around 8 cm, so I was working hard!) I remember thinking to myself 'Remember how this feels, because you don't EVER want to do this again!' Well, now, just under a month later, I'm thinking 'that wasn't so bad!' This is my last babe too, so it's hard not to feel a bit blue about not ever going through that again.

my mom said she put both my sister and i on our tummies. i let grace sleep on her tummy for naps, and i guess i could try it at night too. she's a big girl, im not worried about her forgetting to turn her head to breathe, she's got pretty good neck control. then again, id probably stay up all night just checking to make sure she was breathing.

we're doing well over here we had some issues after the first week or so, my heartrate was still high and had been since her birth and i had to do a CT scan to rule out blood clots...ended up being diagnosed with a UTI (i went in to urgent care because i had a fever) and we've gotten much better we've been out and had a few "playdates" with my doula and her two kids (really more like mom dates but shh), and today at 18 days old grace weighed 11lbs9oz! she's my little chunkamonk!!!!!!!
i just gave her a bath and she peed.
we post pictures here: www.flickr.com/photos/nashifeet, and we keep a blog for her here: gracedeva.blogspot.com

Chelsea,

I just checked out your flickr page and must say, Grace is one of the most BEAUTIFUL newborns I've ever seen! I could just eat up all that squishiness!

If you could see the look of sleep deprivation on my face. I'm slack jawed and seeing things. My newborn wakes up (most of the time) every .5-1.5 hours. All day long. He must suck on something. Our midwives said no pacifiers until he's a month old, and although we've always been opposed to them with our other babies, this one might be different. My poor DH is way overtired. He's been taking care of most of the household chores and other kids. I hope he appreciates what I do when he heads back to work.

Enjoying my baby? Yeah, I guess, but I like older babies better. When I can sleep, we can sleep. We like our sleep!

I've been surprised that for a moment I felt sad I will never be pregnant again, but only for a brief moment or two. Most of the time I feel so entirely relieved I will never, ever be pregnant for another moment in my life. I can focus on the children and raising them. Bliss.

fellow sleep deprived mama over here as well! I had my 2 week pp check yesterday (b/c i had a section) and the issue of birth control was brought up.....the LAST THING i want to think about is sex, and birth control. I can't do anything hormonal b/c of my bladder condition, which leaves me with not many options......and as much as i am still morning the loss of my pregnancy i do NOT want to be back in her office in a year pregnant again! I think a 3rd pregnancy may just kill me, b/c they each have been worse than the previous one!

Natalie actually slept for 6 hours straight last night....she wiggled her way out of her cosleeper and when i woke up at 5:30am b/c my boobs were throbbing i looked over and paniced b/c she wasn't there!!! instead she was snuggled up next to DH, sound asleep!

Also very sleep deprived here. Last night I think I got a total of about 2 or 3 hours. I swear Ds1 and Ds2 have a deal going between them. They said, "Ok when I go to sleep, then it's your turn to wake up!" It happens ALL the time, for naps too. I'm hoping that soon they will actually both sleep at the same time for part of the day.
Apart from the sleep issue things are going really well. There are moments in the day when I'm a complete mess and other times when I'm so on top of things that it makes me proud. Ds2 is the cutest little munchkin. He's really mellow and easy to please and has the cutest little squishy face.
