good luck, mama, finding this! I had no idea it was so hard to get a hold of these days. I cherish my copy even more now (which was given to me by my preceptor ).

I have heard from more than one person that a revised edition will be coming out soon. I can't wait!

Anne Frye Book....

I love her books...
I recently found one for a student at Powell's Bookstore online.
Another place to check is www.bookfinder.com
It searches many used bookstore listings for the book you want.
I bet you will find it there, although it will be more expensive than waiting for the new edition.

I found it on half.com. I think you can put in a request to get an email when someone puts it up for sale.

any idea how soon is soon though? I would really prefer to wait for the new edition but I don't know if it will be out in time. Im not quite sure when during the course i'll need it but i can't really seem to find info on when she's releasing the new edition.

on a side note it seems odd to me to stop publishing the 6th edition before the 7th edition is out. it seems like a book that ALOT of people use and so I would think she's really missing out on alot of sales by not having the 6th edition available too.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the 7th edition. : Not until she states an actual release date, at least. She was working on Volume 2 for 10 years, and Volume 3 is in the works as well, I hear. Hopefully Dx tests will come out sooner, though. I would be surprised, though, if it was within the next year.

http://www.fetchbook.info/compare.do...=9781891145506

they show two stores there that have it for a reasonable price, although one store has awful reviews.

Anne Frye emailed me on June 16th and said it would be to the printer "by the end of the month or in July."

BUT... I dunno, should we hold our breath or not? (I told her I was.)

Well, that is promising, then. Maybe it will be to the press by September or something???
I HOPE so. I really need it by January.
Ahem...*someone* I know put a couple of chapters on PDF and sent them to a friend who couldn't afford to buy the book at currently inflated prices. Perhaps you know somebody who could do that for you until the new book comes out?

Good news!

You guys spurred me to email Anne again, and here's the reply I got this am:

"I am just about to enter some final copy edits now, on the last 26 pages!
then proofing those pages, polishing up the index and printing it out.
Goddess willing, off to the printer some time NEXT WEEK!

an announcement will be made!

Lets folks know,

Love,
Anne"
