Maybe everyone knows by now that Charlotte has Down Syndrome. I have been led to many wonderful groups concerning DSyn and while I find them helpful, I would really like to be in a group with all you mamas with same-age non-DSyn babies. It would help me assess my own baby's developmental progress but on the flip side of that, I don't want to always be thinking about DSyn (let's just talk normal baby stuff!) -- most of the time we forget she even has it and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible!

How about just **Summerbabies** or some variation thereof?

Does our DDC have to leave MDC?

I like the new board, but I was wondering...Most other DDCs seem to move over to Life With a Babe and continue there as "July 2007 Mamas", etc. Is anyone interested in doing this, for the sake of continuity--keeping us all on MDC and not having to use the other forum? Is there a benefit to using the other forum? Let me know what you guys think...

The thread here in life with a babe is ok- but winds up being a bit hard to keep up with as it's one monthly thread usually with all of our chatter in it. I think a benefit of another board is we can still make new threads, and things wind up being easier to follow (if that makes sense). We can keep stickies of things that we want to keep, that sort of thing.

I'm not sure what I have to do to belong, but I went to the Yahoo site and had to jump through all kinds of hoops to join that- plus my Mothering user name was taken so I had to invent a new one which was really taxing on my sleep deprived brain. I may not post much, but I do read what you all have to say! Count me in!
