suave commercial

has anyone seen the suave shampoo commercial with the momma breastfeeding? it flashes her on the screen nursing a few times and quickly flashes something like "75% of mothers complain of flat hair and boobs after having a baby" - it cracked me up!! I just loved the fact that it actually showed a mommy nursing!!!

I think that by saying that they will have flat boobs and flat hair and then showing a "breastfeeding" momma is not breastfeeding friendly. It kind of insinuates that it's the breastfeeding that's causing it.

yeah~ you might have a point there - i guess its how you look at things though ~ as a breastfeeding momma, i didn't find it offensive. :
i was just amazed that they actually showed a women breastfeeding! Thats the awesome part! On national television nonetheless.

I found it humerous & enjoyed seeing a bf momma on tv.....now I wonder how long that commercial will last?

I was happy to see it-- any bf-ing in Montana is good. It's not very common here and I make alot of people uncomfortable, so it was encouraging and I sent Suave a "thank you"== but, I haven't seen it since. :-(

Breastfeeding does cause it. Well, not the flat hair, but it sure does a number on your boobies. I think they made the commercial in such a "light" way, that it's hard to take it personal. I just smiled big and nodded, "yep".

I've never seen it.

I saw it once and thought it was funny and I have to be honest it does make your boobs kind of pancake like

I liked it too.... lets face it, nursing does make some changes to the boobage.

I saw it the other day but that's the only time I've seen it on the air (I saw it online once too) Ed glanced at it but he said it didn't (to him) look like she was actually BFing, he said it looked like she was just holding the baby up to her. Idk, I'd have to see it again.

since most people have unfortunatly never seen a woman bf in public, i think that most think she is nursing.

Actually, the *pregnancy* causes the breast changes and not the nursing. I have a good friend who formula fed from day one and her breasts changed more than mine (I nursed a year).

I think the commercial is great too! It's good to see a nursing Mama on tv.

I'm looking for the commercials online....

but can't find them. The Suave web site is interesting because they are targeting moms as their primary customer.

If you like the commercials, then drop them a note! I'm sure they (and their ad agency) would appreciate the feedback.

Oh, and tell them to put their commercials on their site or youtube or something so all your friends can see and talk about them too.
