My friend did terminate her pregnancy. It was right before I was 12 weeks along with this pregnancy.
I have a hard time saying what my choice would have been only because I hope to never have to make that decision. No one should ever have to. It's just a sad, sad situation. It's just really changed my perspective on routine ultrasound. I'm not saying that if my midwives were really concerned I would refuse one, I'm just saying that it ended the routine non-medically-indicated ultrasound debate in my mind.
