Wooly Wonders

Wooly Wonders have brightened our stash and Kenny's bum. I came to experience these by responding to a thread from pamelamama about a picture she posted of her son, Eli, in one of her creations. She had kool-aid dyed her wool and had knit the most amazing ORANGE soaker. And, of course, I had to have one. I sent her Kenny's measurements and within a few weeks I received my first Wooly Wonder.

Not only did she knit me a soaker, but added a custom pumpkin on the bum that you can see here. The front looked like this.

This soaker worked perfectly! Kenny would have a saturated overnight diaper (double cpfs usually) and yet, the moisture stayed in. She also knit a doubler to go inside out of the same wool.

When Kenny outgrew that one, I emailed her for another, but had to wait since : other : hyenas found her to be a creative momma and had their custom orders in. Glad I waited though as she had created the Everlasting WonderSoaker and she made Kenny's special again. Check out his sailboat bum.

Both were done perfectly, have worn well and are literally show pieces!

We love our Wooly Wonders!

We have 5 (yes, five!) Wooly Wonders...they are the only soaker we own.

Pam is an excellent knitter, with amazing attention to detail. Each one of her creations is totally unique and I'm always delighted to see what new embellishments she comes up with for my soakers. Pam has great ideas!

My daughter wears her WW soakers both at daytime and at night and they work like a charm; we have never had a leak or wicking. The wool Pam uses holds up extremely well, no pilling! We can't stand pilling. I wash my wool in the washing machine, on gentle with Eucalan, no rinse...they all still look practically new. The colors stay vibrant, too.

I got my first wooly wonder today and it is gorgeous. I wouldn't have considered the color combination she chose but I'm so glad she did. It looks better than I imagined! I'm looking forward to getting another someday!

Wooly Wonder Soaker Knitting Class

I can't tell you how proud I am of my soakers. When I started this class, the only thing I knew how to do was straight knitting. I didn't even know how to purl and now look at what I've done: My Soakers

Thanks to Pam from Wooly Wonders for being a great teacher!!! I'm not sure when she's teaching another class but I think I might take it, I think it will be how to knit pants/shorts...

Embroidery Class

Pam's Beginning Embroidery Class was fantastic! You had the choice of a butterfly or a dragonfly. I chose a dragonfly and it turned out great . Pam went step by step with excellent photos that clearly showed what to do. She is very quick to reply to any question you may have. This goes for everything, not just her Embroidery Class. I am extremely happy this class
