Friend has whooping cough

We are a non-vaxing family, as is my friend's. She has a 6 yo, a 2 yo and a 3month old. The family has been sick with it one at a time, basically since the baby was born but managed to keep it from baby until a week or so ago. But this baby is so sick right now, they've been to hospital, etc. and I'm just so worried for baby and her mum who is pretty upset right now, despite her anti-vaxing convictions. So, I'm hoping we have stayed away from it. The ironic thing is that I wouldn't mind if ds got it except for his sister, the timing stinks: Dh and I are vaccinated and ds hasn't seen them since the day Greta came but this has been SO hard. I just look at her and she's so small and I pray we don't get it right now and I'm thinking about the others all the time. It's not the sort of thing i can discuss with my parents or inlaws so I just thought I'd ask you all to say a prayer for Arwyn, the little girl and that Greta stays healthy.

That's so hard Best wishes with NOT getting WC right now. I was vaxed, but had it anyway when I was 13 years old so I'm hoping I can pass immunities to my children through bfing, but I would be terribly worried with such a little one anyhow... there's also the chance that you caught it while a child/teen despite being vaxed so your new baby would be protected. Hopefully that's the case if your ds does catch it...

I'll keep both your family and theirs in my thoughts and prayers

love and peace.
