Preventing cesarean section book

My sister is pregnant with her first. She lives in the South, which I'm pretty sure has the highest cesearan section rate in the country. I'd like to get her a book to learn more about ceseareans and how to reduce her chances of having one unnecessarily. I've heard of Silent Knife, but have never read it. Is that a good book for a first time mom? Are there any other books I should consider?

Thanks!

Silent Knife might be a little "scary" for a first time mama who hasn't yet experienced the horrors of obstetrical "care" in our country. I've found that first timers often have an "it won't happen to ME!" viewpoint, until it does.

Start her off with Henci Goer's "Thinking Womans Guide to a Better Birth", and/or Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Also, link her to the childbirth connections and spinning babies websites.

If she has a copy of "What to Expect When You're Expecting", tell her to burn it.

I forgot to mention that I already bought her Peggy O'Mara's Having A Baby, Naturally. I've never read it, I bought in on recommendation in the CAC forum. Does the O'Mara book have good advice regarding decreasing the risk of a cesarean?
