Where does your baby sleep? - Page 2

We co sleep with ours, he's usually not bad at getting to sleep at night...usually! I notice he conks right out when he's in the car and carseat...

My DS slept on us or right next to me in bed and nursed every two hours around the clock. My DD is the total opposite. She will sleep anywhere. During the day she naps in the cradle in the living room and at night she is in the cosleeper. During the day she nurses what feels like constantly at night she goes 4 hours. Night and day I tell you! The only thing they have in common is that both of them hate to be swaddled. From day one it made them both nuts!

DD only slept on me, or in the sling, and even now, at 5, she is a poor sleeper and wakes up several times a night on some nights.

DS only slept on me, near me, or in the sling. he is a wonderful sleeper and has been sleeping through the night since he was 18 month old.

every baby is different. i think some need a warm body nearby almost at all times.

dd2 sleeps in bed with us.....we have a co-sleeper that sits in the bed but she wiggles out of it so now she just sleeps snuggled up next to us at night. During the day she is either in her bouncie seat or being held by someone.

i agree that babies this little need to be held and have that closeness

This is my baby too. His startle reflex is unbelievably strong. If heisn't swaddled, forget about it, there is NO way he'll let you put him down. Even when he is swaddled he'll only go 5-10 minutes before rousing. I don't have any advice, sorry!

Does your babe sleep at night? Or is this just a day thing? I think that some babies just don't nap much in the day. The two hour nap twice a day is a myth for many babies.

Slings and wraps have gotten us through. My wrist tendons are so shot--let me tell you! The pain! My baby is also nine weeks and almost 20 pounds though. If I didn't have good carriers that he can snuggle in I'd be sitting in a chair for a good chuck of the day.

20 lbs already? Wow, mama!! Pix? (Missed you!)

I know. I haven't weighed him recently but he was 15lbs at six weeks, and he's about 10 weeks now.

I've missed you ladies too. I am going to check out the new site soon-finally, and I'll post a pic and more about our crazy life.
