I am definitely NOT ready either! I have so many things to do before this little guy gets here. I go on Tuesday for an extenal version (can we say fun?) and an induction if it is successful. So today and tomorrow I will spend tying up all of my loose ends.

Not ready here yet either! I have my carseat situation still to sort out, my doctor is still on vacation and we still have errands and other stuff to do! Plus my parents dog (the family dog) died on the weekend and my whole family is upset. RIP Mickey

Completely unprepared. I know that things will fall into place, and that really I don't need much to be ready but seriously I feel I have done nothing. And now I'm fighting off this horrible cold that won't let me sleep. so I'm talking to the baby and telling the baby to hold on until mama is healthy and strong so I don't start labor feeling this crappy.
Twinklefae, I'm sorry about the family dog, that can be really hard.

You'll never believe this, but after a week of maternity leave, and no sign of labor, and feeling fairly energetic all week with not much really to do, I was starting to get a little bored last week. So I called my boss on Friday and asked if there was work I might be able to do from home this coming week. She was like, heck yeah, and mentioned a substantial project I could take on. So I said depending on how things went (meaning if I still wasn't in labor) I'd probably call on Monday to get the details.
So now I feel sort of obligated to call in and do some work
:, but at the same time, I feel like there are all these things I should be doing to get more ready for the baby, like laundry and making meals to freeze and returning some library books, writing some thank-you letters, depositing a couple of checks, buying a pizza stone and pizza peel (I want to surprise my pizza-loving husband with some homemade pizza for dinner some night this week, but worry that my existing kitchen equipment isn't up for turning out genuinely decent pizza), hunting down some extra washcloths for the birth (I know we have them somewhere buried in the closet), cleaning off my desk, going on a long walk to help get labor started and stay in shape, and so on.
My husband & I went to see The Bourne Ultimatum on Sunday and I was telling him it's probably the last time I'll get to see a movie in the theater for a good long while ... and then I felt like spending all remaining time before labor going to see movies in the theater ... like a condemned man with his last supper ...

All my stuff is pretty much ready but it is in the 100s here all week. Bleh. Record highs.
I want baby out soon but I wouldn't mind if he/she waited til next week when the high is *only* the lower 90s. *Only* 92 seems so nice right now, when 2 weeks ago that seemed stifling.
But all my diapers and baby clothes are washed and ready, my birth kit and tub are ready. I put the car sear base in today. But I'd love to labor outside and that's not likely to happen now.

Yes, I have tons to do. I have been fighting a horrible sinus infection for over a month now. Lots and lots of coughing and very little sleep.
I just went back to the doctor today for another round of antibiotics (which I HATE taking) and she said that she didn't feel comfortable perscribing me any cough suppressents.

Definitely NOT ready yet. I think in a couple more days I will be though. Tuesday the last of my diapers arrive and I can wash/put away, and we will have the birth tub set up then as well. Still have cleaning things and freezing of meals that I *need* done before birth, but we'll see how that goes.
: Okay, my list is getting longer as I type. Perhaps it is time to stop.

Hehe
I actually had a dream last night in which baby came out, and I said
"Oh we are not ready for you yet. Back in you go!"
And proceeded to tell him how to get back in the way he came!!!
I think this has come from years of my mother saying "Well we can't send them back!" When the kids get ornary. LOL!!!

Yep I'm not ready. Due date is this Friday. Today was my last day of work. Then I start emptying the boxes we packed up when we had the house painted. And maybe getting the house some curtains (we're having a home birth so will probably have to nail up sheets if I don't get that done). And do a bit more yoga. And I feel like there's an endless list of things I am supposed to do daily that I've been neglecting; I actually listed them so I could start going down the list each day:
- kegels
- squats
- vitamins (not neglected fortunately)
- fish oil
- blue cohosh
- evening primrose oil
- perineal massage
- hynobirthing cd
- drinking large amounts of water
- lying on my side 10 mins each 2 hours
phew!
I have a few work phone calls each day for the next week or so, and can do some other telecommuting stuff so I don't see missing work -- tricky will be not doing too much of it!

Oh, and I just came down with a cold that seems to be getting worse every morning that I wake up...not better.
: ugh. I'd really rather have this kicked before I do anything crazy like labor.

Take tons of C do what you can to rid yourself of the cold. Your body most likely will wait until you are healthy to go into labor but Please take care of yourself. I posted the same thing last week, I have since broken a rib from coughing. That is not going to heal before labor.
