Raw milk isn't legal for sale in NC, but some groups go to legal states and pick it up and bring it back. Hopefully someone here will be able to help you.

this was also suggested to me:

You can get raw milk at the Newbridge Market on hwy 70 between swannanoa and oteen. When coming from asheville, its on the right (before the Go grocery outlet which is on the left) The sign with the store name is not very clear, but they advertise organic milk and local foods underneath which is easier to read. The milk comes from a certified dairy in SC where raw milk is legal. Its the most hassle free way I've found to purchase raw milk. Good luck!

I don't live in NC, but I visit my Aunt in Mars Hill (just outside of Asheville) and there is a little amish bulk store that sells it. :) I don't know the street, but it's on the same street as the Mars Hill Ingles, across from the Dollar General if I remember right.

There's raw cow's milk for pet consumption at the Montford Tailgate Market on Wednesday afternoons.  It's $6/half-gallon and my pets have let me know that it is super delicious.  There are other sources if you are living here (like drop-off spots and such), but if you are just visiting this would be an easy way to find great milk.
