3 different sensations - all BH contractions?

Hi all, Here's a question -

So I'm almost 39 weeks (EDD 8/21), with my first, and very impatient to go into labor and have this baby. So I keep looking for signs of impending labor, and have been noticing 3 distinct types of sensations, at least some of which I'm thinking are probably BH contractions:

The first type is where it just feels like my belly (uterus) gets hard, and is basically painless. It is not very noticeable when it starts, I tend to notice more in the middle and think, hello, something is happening down there, and then it seems often to last for several minutes (the end is usually not too distinct either though). Those usually seem to happen when I get up from sitting or lying down or when I start walking.

The second type feels like menstrual cramps, and is somewhat achey but not too bad either in terms of pain. I have tended to feel these at night while lying down in bed, and especially the last time my husband and I DTD a couple nights ago ...

The third type is the weirdest. There is no pain but I get a strange breathless feeling and I seem to feel my heart race a bit, like something is getting squeezed somewhere, but I don't feel any specific place inside that is squeezing. Timingwise, it is a similar pattern like the first type of feeling, except that I get these both lying down and sitting up (haven't noticed them walking). I've been sort of wondering if maybe it is the top of my uterus contracting against my diaphragm or something like that, but that's just a guess as to why I'd be feeling breathless.

What do y'all think - are any/all of these BH or signs that labor could be coming? Have others felt all three or know what they are?

I've been having the first two you mention the past few days.

My third one is a pain right above my pubic bone. Very concentrated, comes and goes.

Sounds like normal stuff to me! I mean, some people have BH for months and months, so I don't know that it means anything will happen ASAP, but it is probably a good sign at this stage.

i have been having those for a while now. often followed by lower back pain. it is the pelvis opening.

Ok, so it's the blind leading the blind over here. ha ha ha

Yes, I get that lower back pain, too, now that you mention it.

Sometimes my BH take the form of that breathless feeling too. I´ve been having those all along, so I wouldn´t take that as a sign of impending labor. The most promising is the menstrual cramp thing.

I would say the first and third are BH. I got those all through my pregnancy. The menstraul type cramps mean you are probably effacing. Those are doing some good stuff for ya(the bh are too, but not as much). I had the menstrual type for about 2 weeks before I went into labor this time, usually at night too. Every body is different, and every labor/birth is different though, so keep that in mind, just because I had them for 2 weeks doesn't mean anything. LOL

LOL And it is my fifth baby, so things are bound to be very different from a first timer anyway.

I've been having all kinds of contractions for weeks. There is no way to predict that labor is eminent.

The wierdest ones I have are incredibly tight over my whole uterus. The contraction clamps down so hard that my uterus tingles all over. It doesn't hurt, but I have to completely focus on relaxing and breathing or it probably would hurt.

And the good contractions put a lot of pressure downwards and I can feel it on my cervix, vagina, and or rectum, so I know they are working.
