Damn. DAMN. DAMN.

Tom just got served with wage garnishment papers. It's ALL HIS FAULT for failing to pay/refusing to pay a medical bill from 2 years ago when he had his appendix removed. We owe nearly 4K total, and the paperwork I just received indicates that they're going to take the absolute most they can take, by law, which would basically put us less $300/month. We already live to the bare minimum, there's absolutely no way we can survive and pay our bills on $300 less each month.

I just turned down a request for me to babysit full-time this fall thinking I just don't have the energy or ability to do that right now. I can't even believe I might have to accept the offer.

oh, Bethany, that totally sucks! is there any way around it by showing you can't spare the money? we're completely in the financial toilet ourselves (we fall a whole lot more than $300 short each month) so I really feel for you!

I am so sorry mama...we are dealing with just skimming by and yesterday we got 4 bills in the mail that were double amount because we have been so behind. still waiting for the bill for my newborns 24 hour NICU stay...aggggh

I wish the whole world would stop for families that just had a baby...just for a while.
