AF delay.... should i worry?

Hi all. My baby is 12 mo old now and still no sign of AF returning. I am BF about 3-4x/day (mostly at night and whenever my breast feels full - every 6-8 hrs during the day).

I still do not have return of AF even though i have felt crampy/bloating for 2 months now. This is my 3rd baby.

DS1 - AF came at 7m PP and I BF for 10 m
DS2 - AF came at 8m PP and I BF for 10 m
DD1 - still no AF at 12m PP and still BF

I can't figure it out! Both my boys were weaned by 10m and this little girl just doesn't want to give it up. I have done nothing different as far as BF each of my kids. Usually my period starts up and the milk changes taste and the babies don't want to nurse anymore soon after that.

Is this normal to have AF be gone an extra 5 mo when it has returned earlier in the past? I really want to TTC soon so i don't have a huge gap between the kids. I am usually PG by 13-14m PP and i'm really getting impatient.

What should i do? Is there something i can do without totally weaning?

I am turning 35 this year and i wonder if that has anything to do with the delay of AF?

My AF didn't return until my ds was 18 months old and now it still remains sporatic. I'm an older mom too. He is still nursing. Don't know if that is helpful to you or not. My sense from talking to friends is that delayed AF is normal with EBF.

I think it's fairly normal to go 12 months or more without af while you're BFing. It took 20 months for my first ppaf after ds1 and 21 months for my first ppaf after ds2. I am still nursing ds2 and I nursed ds1 until he was 26 months.
