Basically I want to tell my mom that its unacceptable in our family to disrespect our children that way, and that means making him feel ashamed-whether accidently or on purpose, or talking about our child within earshot-or gossiping at all. (Like what I am doing here, I guess, LOL) Really I dont think talking about people behind their backs is wrong-but I still struggle with it. (I wonder where I learned that?)
I wonder if demanding respect is too general. (And I dont think my mom knows what respect IS so I dont think she will agree to do it....she will probably laugh at me and say I should be respecting her.)
