I have always had a hard time trusting drs, my ob and pedi are the only ones I trust. : I have a sinus infection that has gotten bad fast and just found out I have an ear infection too. I was prescribed amoxicillin for it, but want to find out if anyone has had a bad experience, because I know it passes into breast milk. I need to figure something else out fast if it's going to do cause any problems for my baby kwim?

Kellymom and AAP say it is safe. L1, safest level.

Yep, a good test off hand is what we give to babies. We do give amox to babies, it's great for ear infections, which you'll probably not have to treat since you're nursing!

I would give your baby probiotics if you do the antibiotic. Then some for yourself after you finish. Natures Sunshine colloidal silver works great for ear and sinus infections. Put it in your ear and leave it for 10 minutes. You can put it up your nose, rub it into your sinuses and take it internally. The antibiotic won't keep the infection from coming back so do something to build your immune.
