How different is this baby from your others?

My new baby is a completely different personality from my first! It's awesome! DD1, God knows I love her, was a very difficult baby. She NEVER tolerated being out of arms, even when asleep, hated every sling I tried (until 3 months when she accepted the Baby Bjorn and later a ring sling, now she loves her Mei Tei - anyway). I got NO sleep at all with her for the first 6 months, had to dance her down, rock her down sing her down, you name it. She was only happy when in my arms or on the boob. She screamed bloody murder every time I put her in her car seat. I was always in tears as well by the time we got where we were going.

New baby Luna, is amazing. She almost never cries, has twice for like, a minute. She sleeps easily, lets me lay her down so I can pee or shower. She doesn't fuss or anything. She's very very wiggly and grunts a LOT and squeeks and makes lots of crazy faces. I think she's gassy. I'm trying to eat non-gassy foods. And she's a spitter-uper, but besides that, she's incredible. I'm actually sleeping at night. She's so "good" I'm afraid somethings wrong with her. Maybe I'm crazy.

I'm going through a similar experience. My older son was one I could never put down. He didn't sleep through the night until he about 3 1/2... (can't tell how long this one will take yet). This little guy will nurse and sleep and not need to be held all the time. It's a nice change

It's been too long, so I can't remember a lot of details but all I know is that my DD was a very easy, laid back baby. I'm hoping this baby will be like that and so far, so good. Nursing is going well (even though my nipples are still sore), he sleeps well, not too much crying ... let's just hope it stays this way.

So far so good still. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she stays this way. Amazing. If I lie her down while she's asleep, she stays that way and if she wakes up, she doesn't even cry. I have to check frequently to make sure she's not awake and staring at the wall cooing and kicking. I'm in awe. What a peaceful child Luna is! Of course, even though Walden was so difficult, I wouldn't have had her any other way. BTW, she's still difficult.

My boys were totally different as well--my first laid back and my second my fussy one. Which is good...or I might not have been as brave as you, and my oldest would have been an only child! LOL

My IM says the twins are opposites of their sister as well. She was a high needs baby and is a high needs toddler, but the twins have been pretty laid back from day one, and they were also laid back in utero which was the opposite of their sister.

I can't believe how laid back this baby is. All of my other ones required constant attention when they were newborns but not this little guy.
As long as he's fed and changed, he's good. If he's awake, I can put him in the bouncy seat and he'll just hang out there. For sleeping, he prefers the swing over the crib, and he'll sleep for hours and hours in there.

Well, I didn't exactly plan this second one.
