Gypsy Mama BBB vs. homemade cotton gauze wrap

Do you think the Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Breeze is better than a wrap made out of typical fabric-store quality cotton gauze? I know that if you are trying to make a woven wrap, most fabric from the store is inferior to the fabric used in a Storchenwiege, for example. I was wondering if gauze wraps are similar.

This is JMO but if I had a gauze wrap from the fabric store that was working for me I would not spend the $60+ bucks for a new Gypsy Mama. Now if I found a Gypsy Mama used for around $45-50 then maybe. But me I would just save the extra money and wait to get a woven wrap such as a Storch, Girasol, Didymos, easycare or ellaroo (which is not a GSW but is still a pretty comfy wrap with a baby under 25lbs)...
Thats just me.

I can tell you from my own experience that my DIY gauze was not nearly as comfy or functional as my GM BBS! I think GM wraps are awesome.
