'wasting' a clomid cycle? your opinion please :)

hi fellow travelers,

i have had 2 clomid+hcg+IUI cycles so far. the first one ended in a m/c, the second ended in a bfn. i think the bfn was due to the fact that i didn't ovulate after the shot...either because i was told to trigger too early : or because i left the unmixed powder in my car for 4hrs on a hot day. :

anyway, this month i am not able to do an IUI. my clinic will only allow 6 total clomid cycles. do you guys think it is a 'waste' of a clomid cycle to do it without an IUI? i don't want to use up my clomid cycles too early, because then i move on to injectables and i'm not ready. on the other hand, i don't want to skip a month. what do you guys think?

What kinds of other fertility issues do you have?

If you are dealing with poor quality CM, I would try using preseed lubricant while dtd to help that problem.

If you're dealing with low sperm count, then I would wait, and go all natural this cycle. Use your clomid cycles when you have help getting the boys past the cervix, and get them on their way better.

Are you just not ovulating? If that's your only issue, then I would use the clomid this cycle, and just go for DTD like crazy!

he is ok, but i don't ovulate that often, or make that much cm. do you think KY would be OK, or does it have to be pre-seed?

Well, any lube other than preseed can kill sperm because the PH and consistency is not correct. Not even saliva should be used if you get technical about things.

BUT, if you want to go ahead with the clomid this cycle, I would look into the specifics of using an expectorant like mucinex or roubatussin (man I'm a bad speller) and drink LOTS LOTS LOTS of water to help with CM quality.
