My baby girl finally arrived on Tuesday, 41w5d. She was born after a speedy 6 hours of labor, starting around 8:30 am. We went for a walk and I felt like although contrax were still fairly spaced out (7 min or so) I was working really hard. We started to fill the tub, and the midwife arrived around 11ish. I labored in the tub for a while, and realized I was starting to feel pushy but didn't want to swell up my cervix by pushing too soon. Midwife checked me around 12:30 and I was 9.5 cm! About an hour later I started pushing in earnest and she was born at 2:44 pm, sunny side up! Her shoulders were a little sticky but she came out ok with help from the midwives. She turned out to be 9lbs 12 oz, with a 13 cm head and 14 cm chest.
