I created my own brimmed beanie...I really should write up the pattern to share. It turned out so cool (though I would modify the body of the hat). I cut a brim from a large plastic yogurt container side so it had curve to it and knit a cover for the brim. I don't even have a picture of it as it was finished in usual fashion...just before it was to be gifted. I will get a picture and write up the pattern when I return from my visit with my parents.
