I so thought last night was it.

I started having BH that were stronger than normal (but not crampy, just tight) at about 530. They stayed about 10 min apart until 9ish, then got anywhere from 6-10 min apart. They were def. getting tighter but not crampy yet so I took a shower and went to bed. I was so hopeful I'd wake up to pain.

Nope. Just woke up to pee my usual 5 times. But I had a good bit of mucus this morning (no pink, just mucus) so hopefully the contrax did a lil bit.

I've had a few this morning too. But I've read this can go on for daaaays so I'm cautiously optimistic.

New mamas, please send me your leftover labor vibes.

So disappointing.
I'm almost a week overdue now, and the same thing happened to me Wednesday night. I so thought it was it, and had contractions off and on yesterday, did everything I could think of to try and keep them going, but nothing last night or this morning.
Sigh. I just keep telling myself no pregnancy lasts forever. It sure seems like it could though.

Here's some for both of us.

I am mentally prepared to be pregnant another 2+ weeks (I'm 39w2d) but dd was born at 39w1d so I had hopes.

I'm there too. Except my ctxs were 5 mins apart for a few hours...woke up to nothing. I'm secretly glad though, I have some shopping to do today. Maybe tonight is the night!

i've been hopeful a number of times that things were starting, but the ctx never got any stronger or closer together so i never really got my hopes up. the only good thing about all these ctx is that i'm now really good at sleeping through or ignoring them! with ds early labor went on for 20 hours and i was too excited to sleep or ignore them and consequently was way too tired when labor really started. two nights of no sleep made me too tired to put much effort into pushing. thus it took 3 hours from being ready to push till ds's birth.

i'll be 40 weeks on sunday, so i know i'm going to be a bit more hopeful of every ctx. knowing that any day could be THE day. i'm feeling some cervical pressure/twinges this morning (dh and i dtd) but am trying to stay calm as i haven't seen any mucus plug yet.

It's good to hear someone in the same boat. I'm a week over too and get stupid painful bh's almost every night now. I'm totally sick of it and ready to have this baby.

COME OUT baby
