so at first I felt pretty good, now I feel worse all the time. The worst time of day for me is between seven and midnight, when i usually end up throwing up. Yesterday we went out for dinner and a movie, I felt nauseas before we left but thought that I just needed to eat. I got a headache during the movie, and when we got home promptly threw up the dinner i had just eaten. Now I have been home all day with and awful headache...migraine... and feeling like crap. I haven't eaten much today but I haven't been hungry. I ate a sandwich and ever since I feel like I am going to throw up. I also don't sleep very well. I kinda feel like we should make a trip to the ER but our co pay is 150 and we don't have that spare, I would just like to make sure things are ok, it is saturday and the dr's office is not open. I don't know what to do, I am sooooo tired of feeling bad, and my first pregnancy was not like this at all, and I am sure my husband and my boss are tired of hearing about it too. ugh....i hope this goes away soon, I am getting worried.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I went through a bad spike around week 10/11. If you haven't, please consider trying the unisom remedy. I took 1/2 a pill every 4 hours and it made life sooooo much better. Look for the regular unisom, the ingredients should read doxylamine succinate. It is a class A pregnancy drug, very safe, there's not even a warning label on the stuff, and it saved my ass when things got really bad.
I want to give you some hope! The medicine helped and within a week or two things have really turned around, just a bout of general indigestion usually in the evening, but no strong nausea. Hopefully this is the peak for you and things will turn around soon!

I am 15 weeks along, and I feel like you're telling my story. I had the same horrible morning sickness w/ DS, and it went away at the start of my 17th week. I do have hope! I have had horrible headaches w/ this pregnancy that didn't exist the first time around.
I was instructed to go to the hospital last week because of the headaches. Basically, I ended up waiting nearly 5 (!) hours to be put in a room and hooked up to an IV. They gave me Phenergan (sp?) in the IV, and it completely knocked me out from 6PM until 8:30AM. So, in the end, they never addressed the headaches (just the nausea), told me I could take a total of 2 extra strength Tylenol a day, prescribed me Phenergan and some antihistamine/sedative to knock me out when I couldn't take it anymore
, and sent me on my way. I never even saw the doctor (not because I was knocked out...he just told the nurse what to do)! Don't you love it??? I guess patients are just way easier to deal with when they're out cold!
Save your $ unless you get really dehydrated (have dark urine) because all they'll do it give you fluids and maybe some Phenergan or Reglan.
I can't really take the medicines, either. Who is going to take care of my toddler while I sleep all day long?

It could also be worth trying to find a homoepath. Given that there's a specific pattern to your discomfort- worse after eating, worse in the evening- I THINK that calls for pulsatilla, but my books are all on the other side of the sleeping toddler. I'll check later. My morning sickness generally continues into the second trimester, and I've found homoeopathy incredibly helpful.
Also, look at your diet. Are you getting plenty of B vitamins?

mamatomax: the nurse told me that phenergan (sp) will help with headaches too. She did not give it to me yet b/c I can keep liquids down, but your experience at the hospital doesn't surprise me that is one reason I don't go.
flapjack: that is a good idea, the homeopath.
I did talk to the nurse she told me to make sure to drink a lot of clear liquids, to eat small meals, and if I don't feel like eating then don't. She also told me I could take Emetrol at night, and to stop all vitamins, dairy, and anything calcium fortified for now. I have not had any dairy today, which is tough, and I have had very small portions and a ton of water and have felt a lot better today so far. We shall see tonight.
