big bed conundrum.

We're moving ds into a big (queen size) bed this week. His diaper leaks about, mmm, twice a week during the night. : It's a PITA enough to change toddler bed size sheets that often, but it will be even worse with big sheets.

We're getting a mattress protector, of course, but I'm wondering if there's something that can go over the top of the fitted sheet, so if his diaper leaks, I'm not forever changing and laundering queen size sheets??

Carters has water proof pads- flannel feeling, kind of thick.

They come in different sizes- lap, bassinet, crib. I would think that the crib sized could protect a good area of what you would need.

I also so cut to fit mattress protectors at IKEA over the weekend...

On Step Ahead also has some waterproof pads. I would get the bigger one.

Walmart : has waterproof mattress pads, but they would go directly on top of the mattress, not on top of the fitted sheet.

Could you try a different diaper at night?

We use a crib size waterproof pad under our 4 yo - we just lay it perpendicular (sp?) sometimes with a flannel receiving blanket on top if it's not a soft one....then when she wets, I just throw it off and put the next one on without having to change the sheets.

That sounds like a reasonable solution, either that or the Onestepahead pad. Where did you get your pads, if you don't mind me asking?
