You should check the Trading Post- there are lots of diapers for sale or trade being added all the time. We are doing mostly prefolds- they seem to be the cheapest way to go- but we also have a variety of fitteds, AIO's, etc to see what we like best before we make the investment. Good luck!
ETA: I forgot to mention, there are some WAHM dipes FSOT over there. I wish I had the patience to make my own...

Are you looking for something specific? Prefolds are the hardest to get the hang of, but cheapest to use. Fitteds are easier to use, pockets are even easier, aio's are easiest but not usually as absorbant, etc.
What you're looking for makes a big difference on where you should look really. Prefolds are generally as cheap new and on the big sites as they are second hand or WAHM made because its just paying for the fabric mostly, and they can buy in bulk. What sizes are you looking for?

If you are able or willing to learn - sewing them yourself is probably the very cheapest way to go. There are free patterns and lots of places to find freecycle or super cheap fabrics for dipes.

"Yeah that" to the Trading Post if you want inexpensive & don't mind buying used. If you want new WAHM dipes, check this folder: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...play.php?f=224 for the special codes and sales the MDC WAHM diaper makers are offering
