"It doesn't bother me"

I wanted to say thank you for all of your information! DH went from hostile and adamant about having to circ a boy four years ago when we were pregnant with DD to accepting and willing to have an intact son. I am so happy. A friend asked him the day DS was born if he was OK having a son that was intact and he said "It doesn't bother me". That statement was huge compared to where we came from! I am so happy for my DH (and subsequently my DS) this has been very hard for him. He had started with the looking different arguments but I have come to realize from you guys it was DH looking different that was hard not really DS. DH has come to terms a little with his circ so these baby steps are huge.

Good for you!!! I am happy that things worked out. My DH made the decision to not circ....but won't talk about his own circ as anything bad. I think that he just figured...hmmm...maybe there is something to this anti-circ stuff...and possibly he had some feelings that he wouldn't address--not sure. It's a careful and long journey where we kind of have to sit back and let them lead the pace.. Not information you can jam down their throats. I think it's a pretty delicate process. Anyhow, good luck and good job!
