omg...I think I may have found a free labor doula today. i emailed her back and hopefully she is available that month. I am trying not to get my hopes up but it is hard. i really want a labor doula but we don't have the money for it. I found one on this site but she referred me to someone else...thank goodness!! www.bellywoman.net

Awesome! I attended all of my certification births for free. It's pretty easy to find a doula trainee who will attend for free. Ask around, that's what I do! Good for you!

Thats awesome! I hope it works out for you! Last pregnancy I contacted a few doulas that I found on a website in my area. They said they offered free or low cost help and I was thrilled to have found them. Unfortunately, not a single one of them ever got back to me even after repeated emails and leaving a voice mail. I felt a bit dejected.
