One time I caught a float plane, tied it up, and started to unload it before I realized I could just stand back and let someone else take care of it. Baby was sleeping in my OTSBH.
Now I'm jealous. DS's rules while I'm wearing him in an Ergo or mei tai, front or back:
No squatting
No standing in one place longer than 3 minutes
No bending over in any direction
Do not enter the house; stores are maybe okay, but not the house
No sitting
No direct sunlight
No reading
No kneeling
No lying down (I've seen people post that they wear their babies while co-sleeping-- no way would he go for that)
I really think I have him in correctly, he just gets very upset when I try to do any of those things while wearing him.

How long have you been wearing him? If he's comfortable in the carrier (so long as you follow his rules) then maybe he just needs to get more accustomed to it. Sometimes you have to start them out doing things they like, then you can get to where you do whatever you need to, and they're content in their safe spot.
Maybe someone else has experienced and fixed this problem through other means, and will chime in!
Hmm, maybe it's easier with a newborn cuz there isn't much I don't do while BWing. Shower- but I do have a shower pouch on the way!-and sleeping, but she sleeps on my chest. As a single mama, I HAVE to BW.
Shopping and errands
Walking my dd home from the bus stop
While on the computer
Napping on the couch
Reading
Dishes...but no bending over (squatting ok)
Laundry
Cooking sometimes
Eating dinner
While in restaurants, Malls, airports, etc
Keeping baby out of 5 yo chaos
Keeping the baby out of reach of friends and relatives
Going to the bathroom :
Shopping, walking, and cleaning. ItÅ› especially great while cleaning...it keeps DD out of my way (ironically enough ) I just cant sit with her...then she gets squirmy.
