So dh is very pro circ as is his whole traditional mid-west family and we are having a boy very soon (I am almost 38 weeks)...we have avoided the "big fight" since he doesn't bring it up and I figured my best strategy would be to hold off so long that that it never resolved and then he couldn't just force the issue. So I wrote up my birth plan and emailed it to him. When he came home it was on the counter and he said...well, everything is fine except put "PLease circ my baby" in stead of "please do not curc my baby." I laughed it off and said...sorry...I just can't do it. Then he said...you are going to pay for this (in a lighthearted way)... we laughed and then he said...this poor kid is gonna be teased every day of middle school. I said fine, I will homeschool and then we can move to ORegon (where I am from) where it isn't wierd. THat was it. No big fight...he just relented. YEAH!!!
