Anyone else with pizza face?

Ugh. I feel like I stuck my face on a pizza or something. First stopping the birth control pills made my skin revert to teenage glory, then it finally cleared up, and now it's back...blech. At least a new haircut this evening will make me feel slightly less ugly...

just dropping in from the feb ddc....

i NEVER EVER EVER had pimples until i got pregnant. in fact, i had the driest of the dry skin. but once this baby started growing, my face exploded.

thankfully, i've found something that works (and it's fantastic for oily, dry, and everything in between skin): HONEY.

after rinsing with warm water every night, i lather on the honey straight from the jar (or bear) and let it sit for about 10 minutes while i brush & floss, etc. then i just rinse it off with warm water.

took two days and face started to significantly clear up. i am still using it every day and it's fantastic. there are a couple threads over in natural body care proclaiming the glory of honey if you're interested.

hope that helps!!

I just finally got over this! During week 4 through 6 I had this problem!
I just made sure I washed my face in the morning and the evening and drank lots, and losts of water.

I usually have dry skin. Except when I'm pregnant. Sucks.

I don't think I fit in the pizza face category but I have been breaking out all along my hairline in these little bumps, some get infected, most don't.

My big pregnant face thing is peeling skin. I have one spot below my lip on the left side of my chin, and also where your nose meets your face on the side . It's red, splotchy and peels and peels.

Had this last two times, and it was actually my first pg symptom now that I think about it. I looked in the mirror (before I knew I was pg) and said, oh, that's weird, last time I had that I was pg. Maybe I'm just really stressed

Me, too. I had it really bad with my first pregnancy, except the last trimester, but it flared up again after birth. I have what willemsmamma has: little bumps along my hairline. It's a mess. Also, willemsmamma, sounds like you may have perioral dermatitis- I had it with my first pregnancy. It's little red, scaly patches of small bumps around your mouth, or in my case, nose. I saw a dermatologist for it. It itches like crazy and looks terrible. Not fun!

I've got a few that just keep popping up, in rotation. When one dries up, another shows somewhere else. It's like when I have PMS, only it's not stopping. I didn't get this last time, but I haven't really had much m/s yet this time... so who knows! Maybe this time it's a boy instead of a girl... hmm hmm hmm.

My face isn't too bad (knock on wood) but my neck, chest and shoulders are broken out.

No zits yet, but gosh, did an oil tanker spill on my face or what?!?!?

I am getting cystic acne, mostly on my chin. It hurts and looks so bad! I got it with all four previous pregnancies. I never found anything that helped. But never tried honey either. I'm definitely going to give it a try tonight!
