Does anyone have any experience with the soy/wool blend wools? Are they ok for knitting soakers with? I saw these at the store and they feel really nice and come in some very nice colours. I just wanted make sure they are ok to use for soakers before I buy a few balls.

I'm sorry, not a wool user I wish I had time to care for it, because wool soakers and bum sweaters are so cute!

Maybe ask over in the general knitting/crocheting area? They sometimes peek in over here, but not always

I have knit one up and it is so pretty and so soft! I've never used it though. Someone on another board said that it needed to be extra lanolized.

I asked on a wool board a few years ago, and I was told that it wouldn't work. I can't remember the reason, but it made sense. It didn't work for the people who tried it, butI never tried it myself.

Bummer.. oh well... I'm thinking its safer to just stick to plain old wool. Seems like less of a chance for disappointment.
