Just yesterday, I opened up a "made in china" soft baby toy to see. (I'm planning on tossing it anyway.) It's just plastic, i.e., crinkly, noisy, candy-wrapper type plastic.

I'm here searching for teether doll directions. All the baby toys I have from China are going out the window! I managed to open up a few of them and salvage the squeakers and bells at least. The crinkly plastic is getting tossed though. It pretty much shredded to pieces upon opening the toy.

I used a wadded up plastic grocery bag : in a crocheted ball for my little one. It went away when he got big enough to potentially pull it open though.

Tortilla chip bags work the best- they are the loudest and stay noisy for a long time. Just wash the salt and oil off first.
