Theo is 21 months.
we were reading another of his baby books today -- DH think I force them on him, i do not !!! he brings to to me to read when i offer to read, or chases me around with them (or the tractor book).
So we were reading Hello Baby....
in it, as in most if not all of his books, the todder come to the hosital to see the baby.
I talk to Theo all day
-- and i am still sometimes surprised when he answeres, or reacts to what i am saying -- as i am just talking, yk? like when i say "after momma put this int eh dryer we are going upstairs" and i turn around to see him at the base of the stairs -- WOW --- stuff like that still throws me for a loop.
well as we looked at the picutres, i don't read all of that one as the baby is a girl and we don't know what we are haveing and i trying very hard not to creat any unrealsitc expectations in him ....... I said "here Theodore comes to see Momma and the new baby at teh hosptial and gets to sit on the bed with us and cuddle. do yu want to come see momma and the new baby at the hosital with I go to get our new baby" and he nodded !!! so I say -- again, just kind talking, "well I will have to tell Grandma you want that" and he climbed down, went and got the phone,and brought it to me and -- ok then he threw it at me -- he is only 21 months, grace is not a strong point.
but uhhhhhhh wow ...... he really does UNDERSTAND what is going on around him ..............

Dd told dh- "There's a baby in a special house in mama's tummy. But it kicks me. And mama's tummy jumps!"
I wonder what will happen once I'm not pregnant anymore. I don't think she really understands what's going on. She understands part of it obviously, but not really.
