I haven't been in the diaper making 'loop' for quite some time. Back in the day I bought some awesome elastic from someone (IIRC) named Marina?? (I could be remembering her name wrong - I have a bad memory)
I have a huge roll of 1/4 poly-something elastic that I got from a coop once and it's NOT that great. To give you an idea of its stretch, if you take a 4" piece and stretch, it only goes a little past 6 inches.
I bought some cotton 1/4" that is strong (not that really soft stuff) and that stretches further - a 4" piece will go about 10 inches, but it's not as soft a stretch.
Then THE stuff I LOVE is white and 1/4" and a 4" piece will strech 12 inches!
I prefer not to use the clear stuff because I'll only be tacking the elastic down on the ends (you can't do that with the clear stuff, correct?)
If anyone can help me, I'd so appreciate it!!! I need about 5 yards of the stuff to make diapers for myself hopefully in a few months.
