CD moms are you shopping for fluff yet?

Ohh I just can't wait to get a fluffy squishy NB stash! I'm already planning my attack, I for sure need elbees and Kindhearted Woman diapers, and wool, lots of wool. So is anyone else just dying to start shopping for fluff and other fun stuff for baby?

This will be my first time cloth diapering, and we have decided on kissaluvs and bumgenius. My husband insisted on the AIOs bumgenius has and we ordered a sampler just to see. Although I have only been researching for a few days on this, i definitely see how cloth diapering can be addictive So many cute ones to choose from!!!

I bought one fitted... Couldn't help myself, from an old fave. I was just browsing....

I need wool and cpf's. That's about it.

I hope to make and trade for most of the babies stash.

I wasnt making CDs when E was a NB and he was my first CD'ed baby and we didnt start until he was 3-4 weeks old. Hopefully this time I can be more organized with my stash and start right away!

I cant wait either.

I do have ONE FCB embroidered size 0 AIO from last fall when I had a molar pg that the mama that bought it from me is selling back to me. and I have a pair of NB longies made of the "chai latte" colorway.

Nope, but I am editing my baby carriers. We have BumGenius so I hope they will last through another LO.

I CDed DD from about 8 months with MEOS. I intended to start with her at birth, but the MEOS are simply not suitable for a newborn unless you want to have the diaper area be as big as the rest of the baby. And then we moved overseas when she was 3 months old and didn't get our possessions until she was 8 months, hence I started then.

So this time I need something for just the first 6 months or so and then I will switch to the MEOS. I'm thinking that I'm going to go the prefold/flat route, but I haven't looked into it enough yet. I need to do it a bit in advance since I will almost certainly have to get my stuff in the States or UK.

We used prefolds with all ours. Had a couple of AIOs but not my favorite. Of course, all that stuff's waaaaaayyyy gone now, so (oh, the horror ) I have to go out and buy it all again.

I'm thinking of contoured diapers instead of prefolds this time. DH didn't like the big fold at the front of the prefolds when the babies were smaller. He's also not excited about them sitting in pee (as he puts it), so he's suggested we do disposables at night and cloth during the day. I see his point, but I'd much rather do cloth 24/7.

Oh Yeah!!! I've been looking, but we're too broke to buy anything.

I did get some used large covers recently for dd so we are offically done. There is nothing else we "need" for now or the future. Somehow I don't think that is going to stop me from buying a couple new things. Esspecially if this one happens to be a boy.

I'm excited to get out my newborn stuff again. It's all so tiny and sweet. I must resist and not do it for many many months.

I started almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant!

I used simple CPF and covers for the first two kids and want to branch out with this one.

I'm saving up for a snap press and hope to sew up some one size diapers, but until then I've been combing the TP here and have purchased some wool soakers, some wool covers, some other covers, and some contours and doublers.

I'm thinking of maybe cutting down some of my nearly shredded large CPFs and making them into fitteds or contours as well.

I used prefolds with ds1 and only used them as backup for ds2. I used vb fitteds (xs are sooo tiny and cute and only fit for about 3 weeks :heart) and khw fitteds (I didn't think they made them anymore) and a few mudpie babies with a few wool soakers, imse vimse covers and a nikky cotton wrap.

I sold all of them to make room for our move across the state (and because I wasn't planning on having another baby this soon). So yes, I guess now I have the pleasure of building another stash.

ds2 is in disposables until I work up the stomach to strip his diapers (they are reaaaallly bad right now... and we have a front loader that is water efficient so I have to boil my diapers). His stash is mostly muttaquin 3SR (but they've had better days), a few GAD pockets, a couple LHC fitteds, and one or two mama made dipes.

I've been collecting since before I found out I was pg. I have:

2 Doz preemie prefolds
2 Doz infant prefolds
2 XS Fuzzi Bunz
2 Sm Blueberry pockets
1 Baby Beehinds OS fitted
1 Sm Fanciful Fanny fitted
1 Sm Hillbilly Bunny fitted
1 Newborn wool soaker
2 XS Thirsties covers
1 XS Luxe cover

That is all I have right now, I am still hoping to add a few more newborn fitteds and keep working on a size small stash in case the newborn stage doesn't last long. I am planning on getting a few fitteds from all of the WAHMs I like and a few AIO's or pockets for going out. Of course I need some more wool! I LOVED cloth diapering my other kids so I am really looking forward to it again

I haven't really started... DD's been out of dipes for, gosh, about a year now and I've sort of lost track of the CD world. I have tons of CPF and covers, but gave away most of our fitteds which were only in larger sizes anyway. So I'll be shopping for fitteds, and maybe some wool, and doing some knitting. We had blowout after blowout with DD during the EBF stage, so I'm hoping fitteds and maybe some prefitteds will do the trick.

A week or two before I got the BFP I did buy a very cool road bike print Righteous Baby FLAG!

yes yep! i already have 20 nb sized organic swaddlebee fitteds and im knitting covers. gotta buy smalls next. im set on size med and large diapers. we use the dream-eze organic fitteds sooo nice!

You'all are getting diapers ready already???!!! I'm still getting used the idea of being pregnant and havent even thought of digging out dd1's old stuff to find the newborn dipes. Damn, you women are on the ball!

We have two local CD stores now and one is just a few minutes away. I was actually hoping to go this morning and buy one newborn dipe, but Dh needs to borrow my car. Maybe tomorrow morning........

We probably have enough diapers (mostly prefolds) but we need a few more covers. (I sold what I didn't like) I am loving the Thirsties cover on dd right now so I will definitely get some of those - I love the color selection. I'd like to sew some diapers, but I tend to say that with each pregnancy. I want to do more wool this time and more fitteds would help with that.

I think I am the only person in the world who didn't like the KHW fitted very much.

As a first timer to EVERYTHING related to baby:

: : :

I heard once that there are a couple of websites that sell some kind of "variety" pack so that you can see lots of different kinds, try them out - and there's a class at our local maternity center that I will be going to that details all the different options.

Any suggestions for newbies? Is it better just to get a few at first and then see how big baby is and what might work best for him/her?

Oh yes! I haven't gone through my stash from DD so I'm not sure what all I NEED. I know some of my KL0s are pretty worn out. But, I just got some FBs (on clearance) and trying to catch up on the diapering buzz. I feel like I've been out of it so long. So many new ones! And new materials too.

I love that there are so many turned options now. Last time I diapered t&t was just becoming the in thing and it was hard to get any.

This is where I get some of my dipes and she has some packages. For dd we bought a large FB package and dh bought me a diaper cake of prefolds and two covers for my baby shower. That was great. Although my FB did start to repel at around six months and that was a pain in the butt. That's why I'm looking into fitteds this time.

I would just buy a couple different things that look interesting, read tons of diaper reviews and you'll figure out what works. CDing is really worth it. I wouldn't do anything different.

I wish I had time to sew for me, but I am too busy sewing for everyone else, LOL. I LOVED my KW's last time so I think those will be the bulk of my NB stash, but I got a huge box of Large Elbees yesterday and those are sooo nice I want some for the new baby. Maybe I'll have time in a few months to sew some, LOL.
