Yes, one of our Colorado NOCIRC members, Miriam Pollack, was interviewed for this article. She said that the woman who interviewed her and wrote the article had two intact sons. It was good to hear that our local hospitals cic rate was only 40% (the state rate is 63%) - well, actually, only relativelly great, becuase 40% is still too high.
We were dissappointed in how "balanced" the article ended up, although I guess journalists have to try to tell both sides of a story. Unfortunately, there's just not enough space to dig into all the claims made in detail,, so some half-truths get left unexamined. Like mentioning the Sorrells fine-touch study, but then giving a one-line quote from a local doctor stating that other studies show opposite results, period.
Still, at least the story was framed in terms of a local mother who chose not to circumcise, and gave her the last word. Any publicity is good publicity.
Aside from a few comments to the article online, there were no letters to the editor about the article. Miriam had been afraid that speaking out publicly as a Jew might result in some hate-mail or whatever. But nothing materialized even at her congregation.

One of the better "balanced" articles I've read. I would like to know about the "several" studies that dr. referred to. There may be a poorly conducted study or two that have purported to show no difference, but I highly doubt he could find one legitimate one to show a circ'd penis has MORE sensation, lol.
