I always thought it was normal to go a lot when pg.

I was in the bathroom as much as I was anywhere else.

oh yeah, I'm 15w 5d and I'm still peeing like crazy!! Sometimes I drink alot of water (during work, it seems) but even when I don't drink a ton of water, I'm still peeing away. I guess it might just stick with some of us for the whole shebang!

Very normal. It was insane how much I as peeing with my girls at that point! It really did limit my mobility and keep me somewhat housebound. When I was TTC this one, I remember thinking realistically that one more kid might put me in depends and it was just a chance I was going to have to take.

Surprisingly, this kid just HAS to be different and it's nowhere near as bad as it was with his/her siblings (even though statistically, as an older Mom, it should be worse and at 15 weeks I'm hardly out of the woods yet) so there is hope that your next pregnancy will go easier on you with this particular symptom.

My only coping technique is to ALWAYS go when you have the opportunity, whether you need to or not, and to limit liquids an hour or so before you have to leave the house. Also, don't let the teasing get to you. Those people are ignorant and have no idea how painful it can be or that it is just a normal part of pregnancy.

"Oh come on! You don't REALLY have to pee AGAIN!"

"Oh come on! You aren't REALLY that ignorant about what happens to women's bodies during pregnancy! Stop trying to get attention by saying stupid things! It's REALLY starting to get on EVERYBODY'S nerves!"

Frequent urination was one of the first signs I was pg both times. It's bad in the first tri, lets up a little in the second, then is awful again in the third. For most people. For me, it's just bad from conception on!~

I will say i will take the frequent urination anyday over hyperemesis I had a few weeks ago!

Oh so much peeing. SO MUCH! I used to count how many times in a night I would get up, but I was too sleepy to keep track. Now I'm getting better in that I can go pee in the middle of the night and barely wake up. My husband is cute with it. He doesn't tease me, but reminds me when we are about to leave a bathroomed place. Tee hee.

i just don't understand how a human being can make this much urine. i mean, i swear it's like half a gallon a gallon at a time. then, not 20 minutes later, i have to go AGAIN.

Thanks for the reminder, Dea. My grandfather died of kidney failure and my mother is facing surgery to remove a tumor on her only remaining kidney on September 25.

I DON'T like being teased about having to pee or the pain of an overfull bladder, but it sure beats having important bodily organs not working correctly.
